Guidelines for Publication
Papers and articles are accepted in English or Arabic with a summary in the other language. Articles and review papers should not exceed 8 pages, and research papers 6 pages. Manuscripts should be typewriten or wordprocessed on one side of A4 paper, single-spaced and submitted in one original and a floppy disk.
Articles and Review Papers
Articles and review papers should include: a title, introduction, subject matter, recommendations, views, and references .
Research Papers
Content of a research paper should include:
Title
It must be concise and specific, followed by full auther (s) name and addresses .
Summary
It should show the salient points of the paper and the main results and findings (not exceeding 300 words) followed by keywords not exceeding 4 words .
Introduction
It should provide adequate background for the study, justification, objectives and relevant references .
Materials and Methods
It should include detailed description of materials and methods, experimental design, operations, samples, observations, and statistical analysis of data .
Results
Presentation of the results obtained using self-explanatory tables or figures, diagrams, graphs or photos. Levels of significance and standard errors for comparison of treatment means should be given .
Discussion
Adequately offers scientific explanations for the results obtained, taking into account the idea and objectives of the study. Findings of the study should compared with the results of previously published work .
References
References should be listed in alphabetical order of surnames, and should include the authors surname, initials, year of publication, title, name of the journal, volume number, and pages number. Arabic references should be listed first .
Failure to comply with these instructions may delay or stand against publication .
Evaluation
Manuscripts are initially reviewed by the Editorial Board to ensure their relevance to the scope and style of JAI. Manuscripts considered for publication will be forwarded to technical reviewers. Comments from the reviewers and the Editorial Board will be send to the author for modifications and/or explanations. The revised version is then submitted to the Editorial Board to recommend publication or otherwise .
- Research papers not accepted for publication can be considered, by the Editorial Board, for publication as notes .
- JAI is not under obligation to return the original manuscripts of paper not acceptance for publication. The author will be informed of the salient points which led to lack of acceptance .
- At the end of each year, abstracts would be submitted to international abstract publishing periodicals .
Cost of Publication
Publication in the Journal of Agricultural Investment is offered free of charge. A reasonable honorarium is paid to the author (s) and the reviewers on acceptance of the paper .
Reprints
Three reprints of each article or paper are supplied to the corresponding author free of charge. Additional reprints may be made available at cost price .
Subscriptions
Subscription in JAI is free of charge for organizations, research centers, universities, and investment institutions related to agriculture in the Arab World .
