His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), participated as a keynote speaker at the Food Security SummitX 2025, held at Dubai from September 17 to 18, 2025. AAAID’s participation underscored its commitment to supporting regional and international food security initiatives and highlighted its leadership role in promoting sustainable agricultural development across the Arab world for over fifty years.
During his opening speech, H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi provided an overview of AAAID’s mission, emphasizing the Authority’s pivotal role in achieving Arab food security through investment in economically and socially viable agricultural and food projects. He also highlighted AAAID’s portfolio, which encompasses a diverse range of projects and companies across multiple Arab countries.
H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi spotlighted AAAID’s successful experience in supporting and financing small-scale farmers, which has significantly improved livelihoods in rural communities and contributed to sustainable development in the region.
In his closing remarks, he stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation to achieve shared food security objectives. He noted that AAAID’s participation in the summit reflects its ongoing commitment to expand strategic partnerships, address future challenges, and promote sustainable agricultural development that benefits the region’s populations.
Following the speech, H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi inaugurated the summit’s accompanying exhibition, touring the various pavilions and exploring the latest innovations and solutions in food security and sustainable agriculture. He also met with numerous experts and stakeholders to discuss potential collaborations and future partnerships.
