AAAID's 10 Innovation and Agricultural Research Stations Aim to
Develop Crops for Transfer and Localization through Modern Technologies

AAAID has established 10 leading innovation and agriculture research stations with a view to conducting applied agricultural research in order to strengthen research and development activities and increase agricultural productivity. These stations are operated by qualified agronomists and their research findings are disseminated throughout the AAAID’s companies and the communities in which it operates. Through these stations, AAAID aims to use innovative techniques to support the needs of companies, develop crops and implement schemes for the transfer of modern agricultural technologies.

AAAID Innovation and Agricultural Research Stations

Rain-fed Crop Production Research Innovation Station

The station supports the activities of the Arab Sudanese Blue Nile Agricultural Company (Agadi) in Sudan. It aims to develop crops, such as cotton, sorghum, sesame and sunflowers.

Innovation and research station for field crop production research

The research activities of this station support the Arab Company for Crop Production (Atbara) in Sudan. It aims to develop crops, such as wheat, maize, groundnuts, soya beans, sesame and potatoes.

Vegetable and Fruit Research Innovation Station

This station supports the activities of the Al Mutamayiza for Vegetable and Crop Production (Um Dom) in Sudan. It aims to conduct research on traditional and non-traditional vegetables, such as Tomato, Red Cabbage, Lettuce, Strawberry, Sunflower and Maize.

Vegetable Production Research Innovation Station

This station supports the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture in South Darfur State (Nyala), in Sudan. It conducts research on traditional and non-traditional vegetables, such as Tomato, Onion, Sunflower and Maize.

Innovation and Research Station for Crop Production in High Salinity Lands

This station supports the activities of the Arab Company for Agricultural Production and Processing. It aims to support traditional and non-traditional fodder crops, such as maize, Laredo and Panicum maximum and silage production.

Innovation and Research Station for Applied Agricultural Research

This research station supports the activities of the AAAID Coordination Office in Mauritania (Rosso). It aims to conduct applied research on traditional and non-traditional vegetables and field crops, such as Broccoli, Red Cabbage, Rice, Sunflower and Maize.

Vegetable Development Research Innovation Station

This station supports the activities of the AAAID Coordination Office in Mauritania (Rosso). It aims to conduct applied research on traditional and non-traditional vegetable crops.

Innovation and Research Station for Research on Developing Vegetables and Field Crops

This station supports the activities of the AAAID Coordination Office in the Comoros (Bandasmilini). It conducts research on traditional (Tomato, Carrot, Lettuce...etc.) and non-traditional vegetables (Broccoli, Red Cabbage….etc.) and field crops.

Innovation and Research Station for Vegetable Development Research

This station supports the activities of the Yemeni Ministry of Agriculture in the Socotra Archipelago (Maanoofa). It conducts research on traditional and non-traditional vegetables and field crops.

Innovation and Research Station for Vegetable Cultivation Development

This research station supports the activities of the Yemeni Ministry of Agriculture in the Socotra archipelago (Qeeso). It conducts research on traditional and non-traditional vegetables and field crops.
