Upon the invitation of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the China Chamber of International Commerce, His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), participated as a keynote speaker in the proceedings of the 4th Session of the World Chambers Conference and Business Associations 2025. The conference was held from September 10 to 12, 2025, in Hefei City, Anhui Province, of the People’s Republic of China.
During his speech, His Excellency highlighted AAAID’s role in promoting Arab food security through investments in agricultural and food projects, technology transfer activities, and the establishment of global companies for projects in Arab countries. He explained that AAAID possesses pioneering expertise in establishing companies and financing small-scale farmers through microfinance programs, which have achieved tangible successes and contributed to improving livelihoods in rural communities.
His Excellency further elaborated that AAAID is diligently working to achieve its strategic objectives, which focus on enhancing Arab food security, improving the efficiency of natural resource utilization, supporting sustainable development efforts, providing employment opportunities, and attracting investments and partnerships from within and outside the Arab region.
In conclusion, His Excellency emphasized the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation to achieve common goals. He underscored the depth of the historical relations between Arab countries and the People’s Republic of China, expressing his hope that this conference would contribute to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and integration between the two sides.
