Under the gracious patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), participated in the 6th World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF 2026), held on 10 February 2026 in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.
He participated in the first panel session entitled:
“Islamic Finance and Banking for Sustainable Development: Financing Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Resilient Economies,” where he presented AAAID’s vision for bridging the financing gap in the Arab food security sector and enhancing the bankability of agricultural projects to attract institutional investment.
This participation comes within the framework of AAAID’s commitment to strengthening regional and international partnerships and to developing an integrated investment ecosystem for food security.
It is worth noting that the Forum was organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization – Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO ITPO Bahrain), in cooperation with the League of Arab States, and in strategic partnership with Kuwait Finance House.
