Date: 16 Feb, 2026

Location: Kuwait - State of Kuwait

As part of its commitment to fostering innovation and strengthening the role of Arab youth in achieving sustainable food security, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) participated in the 16th International Invention Fair in the Middle East 2026, held under the theme “Investors Meet Inventors”.

The exhibition was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, from 8 to 11 February 2026 in the State of Kuwait. The event was organized by the Kuwait Science Club and witnessed broad participation, with 213 inventors from around the world presenting approximately 166 inventions, in addition to the participation of scientific and research institutions, as well as several Arab and international organizations.

AAAID’s participation reflects its continued support for Arab innovators and inventors, and its commitment to expanding partnerships and strengthening its presence at specialized scientific and research forums. On this occasion, AAAID awarded a USD 3,000 prize for the best invention aimed at supporting and empowering Arab youth in the field of food security. The award was granted to Iraqi inventors Najwa Abu Majdad, Al-Zahraa Abdulameer, and Fatima Mohsen, from the Republic of Iraq.

It is worth noting that the International Invention Fair in the Middle East aims to provide a global platform for Arab inventors to connect and exchange expertise with their counterparts from around the world, promote a culture of innovation, support inventors at both regional and international levels, and create a scientific and investment-oriented environment for showcasing and marketing their inventions. The Fair also offers a range of incentive awards to encourage innovation. According to international rankings, it is considered the second-largest international invention exhibition after the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, and it enjoys wide Arab, regional, and international recognition. Participating inventions are evaluated by a specialized jury panel based on rigorous international standards to select the most outstanding innovations.
