His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), met with His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Metwally, CEO and Managing Director of NI Capital, and Mr. Hazem Kamel, Managing Director of NI Capital’s Direct Investment Division, to discuss potential collaboration in agricultural investment, project financing, and the development of innovative investment instruments supporting the agriculture and food security sectors across the Arab region.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed key areas of proposed cooperation, including the establishment of joint investment funds to finance agricultural and food development projects, exchange of expertise in fund management and financial advisory, and exploring opportunities for equity or operational participation of AAAID’s affiliated companies in Egypt to strengthen the Authority’s presence and investments in the Egyptian market.
His Excellency Dr. Al Zaabi emphasized AAAID’s commitment to enhancing partnerships with leading financial and investment institutions in the Arab world, with the aim of diversifying agricultural financing tools and attracting sustainable investments to the sector.
In response, His Excellency Dr. Metwally expressed appreciation for AAAID’s role in supporting Arab food security initiatives and strengthening investment partnerships, while Mr. Hazem Kamel confirmed NI Capital’s readiness to develop practical cooperation channels and high-impact projects with AAAID that serve sustainable development goals in the Arab region.
