AAAID and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Explore Cooperation in Investment and Food Security

In line with its efforts to strengthen international partnerships and enhance Arab food security, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) held a high level meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, on Monday, November 4, 2025, at AAAID’s head office.

The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of Board of AAAID, and attended by H.E. Søren Nørrelund Kannik-Marquardsen, Minister Counsellor for Agriculture, Food, and Fisheries in the MENA region, Ms. Iman Bounaga, Commercial Advisor for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in the UAE and Qatar, and Dr. Abdelilah Belatik, Strategic Transformation and Investment Advisor at AAAID.

The discussions focused on exploring avenues for cooperation in agricultural production, food processing, and the exchange of modern agricultural technologies, with the aim of advancing Arab food security and promoting sustainable projects with positive economic and social impact.

Dr. Al Zaabi emphasized AAAID’s commitment to building strategic and effective partnerships with both public and private sectors in friendly countries. He commended Denmark’s pioneering experience in agricultural technology and food supply chains and affirmed the Authority’s openness to collaborating with Denmark institutions and companies to develop high-impact projects aligned with AAAID’s strategic objectives.

Through this collaboration, AAAID reaffirms its dedication to supporting sustainable agricultural investment initiatives and enhancing Arab and international integration in the field of food security contributing to sustainable development and the resilience of food supply chains regionally and globally.
