His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), met with His Excellency Dr. Subaih Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Minister of Finance, and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment of the State of Kuwait, to discuss avenues of cooperation and prospects for developing strategic partnerships in food security projects.
During the meeting, both sides explored mechanisms to enhance bilateral cooperation and develop high-impact partnerships in food security initiatives, leveraging the opportunities and enablers available in the State of Kuwait to strengthen the Arab food security ecosystem and advance sustainable development efforts across the region.
His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi emphasized AAAID’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with Kuwait, noting that the visit aligns with the Authority’s strategy to deepen cooperation with Arab member states and support the development of vital productive sectors that contribute to comprehensive development, food security, and Arab economic integration.
The visit of the official AAAID delegation to Kuwait comes as part of the Authority’s broader efforts to enhance joint cooperation and enable agricultural and food investments across its member states. The delegation included His Excellency Dr. Salah Abdullah Osman, Member of the Investment Advisory Council, Her Excellency Dr. Reem Ghazi Al-Fulaij, Chairperson/Director General Public Authority for Food and Nutrition of Kuwait and Member of AAAID’s Board of Directors.
From the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by His Excellency Saad Al-Allati, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Services Affairs at the Ministry of Finance in Kuwait, His Excellency Saad Al-Rashidi, Acting Director of the International Economic Cooperation Department, His Excellency Dr. Faleh Al-Debais, Advisor to the Minister, His Excellency Anwar Al-Manawer, Acting Director of the Department of Arab and Gulf Economic Cooperation.
