On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) reaffirms its unwavering commitment to supporting the path of sustainable agricultural development across the Arab world, in a manner that contributes to environmental protection and the enhancement of food security.
In this context, H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of AAAID, stated that the Authority places great emphasis on implementing environmentally friendly agricultural projects that rely on modern irrigation technologies, the utilization of renewable energy sources, and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices that ensure the optimal and responsible use of natural resources.
His Excellency further emphasized that AAAID remains steadfast in supporting projects that strike a balance between economic viability and environmental sustainability, underlining the importance of strengthening Arab partnerships to advance the agricultural sector and achieve integrated development that takes environmental considerations into account.
Dr. Al Zaabi concluded his remarks by calling for greater Arab cooperation to safeguard agricultural environments, stressing that preserving the land is a true investment in the future of coming generations, and that the responsibility to protect the environment lies with all of us—governments, institutions, and individuals alike.
