His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), met with His Excellency Kamal Hemani, President of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI). on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
During the meeting, both sides discussed developments in the business environment in Algeria and explored avenues to strengthen bilateral cooperation and unlock available investment opportunities—particularly in sectors related to food security. They also reviewed mechanisms to enhance institutional communication and establish strategic partnerships with the Algerian private sector, in a manner that supports the achievement of sustainable development goals and capitalizes on the investment prospects and enablers offered by the Algerian market.
Dr. Al Zaabi emphasized the importance of advancing economic relations between the Authority and relevant Algerian institutions. He reaffirmed AAAID’s commitment to supporting economically viable investment projects with tangible developmental impact, in alignment with its mission to enhance food security across the Arab world.
For his part, H.E. Hemmani expressed the Chamber’s eagerness to establish effective collaboration with AAAID and benefit from its expertise in agricultural investment and sustainable development. He also stressed the importance of knowledge exchange, increased mutual visits, and future coordination between the two sides.
