His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), met with His Excellency Dr. Magdy El Sayed, CEO of Middle East for Vaccines (MEVAC), in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Saad Ahmed Moussa, AAAID Board Member, alongside the AAAID team and senior company officials. The meeting focused on potential avenues for collaboration in the production and development of veterinary vaccines, as well as supporting livestock immunization initiatives across Arab countries. This engagement aligns with AAAID’s ongoing efforts to expand strategic investment and technical partnerships with leading private sector entities in the Arab world.
During the discussions, MEVAC presented its strategic project, the “Vaccine City”, envisioned as the region’s largest integrated facility for the production of veterinary and human vaccines. The project aims to localize vaccine manufacturing technologies and strengthen Arab self sufficiency in this critical sector, contributing to biosecurity and the advancement of agricultural and livestock production.
H.E. Dr. Al Zaabi underscored AAAID’s commitment to deepening cooperation with leading Arab companies in the biosecurity, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors, praising MEVAC’s role in driving industrial innovation and scientific research in the vaccine industry.
For his part, H.E. Dr. Magdy El-Sayed expressed his appreciation for AAAID’s engagement and support, emphasizing that the “Vaccine City” project represents a strategic step to enhance Arab collaboration in biopharmaceutical and veterinary manufacturing, opening new horizons for investment and regional development.
