Dr. Abdelilah Belatik, Executive Director of the Investment Sector at the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID), held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Hatim Naji, Managing Director and Senior Executive Officer of Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) in the Middle East, to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment partnerships across sectors related to food security.
Discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions, including opportunities to develop investment partnerships, expand business activities across food security-related sectors, and strengthen the role of financial institutions and the private sector in supporting high-potential investments and promoting sustainable growth.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of leveraging the complementary roles of investment and financial institutions to identify promising opportunities, facilitate access to finance, and develop partnerships capable of translating investment opportunities into commercially viable projects with tangible development impact. These efforts would also help respond to the interests of investors and business communities seeking opportunities across food security-related sectors.
Both sides emphasised the importance of maintaining dialogue and exchanging perspectives on areas of mutual interest, with a view to identifying practical opportunities for cooperation and generating shared value.
The meeting reflects AAAID’s continued efforts to expand its network of partnerships with regional and international financial and investment institutions, and to foster a shared vision of investment opportunities across food security-related sectors. These efforts are aligned with the Authority’s strategic direction and future objectives to advance Arab food security and promote sustainable investment.
