The Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development (AAAID) held a meeting with a delegation from Orbis Holding at AAAID’s main office to review their existing investment partnership and explore opportunities for further cooperation across the agricultural and food sectors.
Orbis Holding is AAAID’s partner in several investments spanning Morocco’s olive value chain. AAAID was represented at the meeting by Dr. Abdelilah Belatik, Executive Director of the Investment Sector, while Orbis Holding was represented by Mr. El Hadi Chmaou, Chief Executive Officer.
The discussions reviewed the results achieved through the existing partnership in agricultural production, agro-processing and exports, as well as lessons learned from the experience in developing an integrated agricultural investment model.
The two sides also explored potential areas for cooperation in Morocco and other Arab countries, including the development of promising agri-food value chains, food processing and value addition, access to export markets, and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices to improve water-use efficiency.
Both parties agreed to maintain dialogue and coordination to assess priority investment opportunities, building on their existing partnership and in line with AAAID’s mandate to strengthen Arab food security and promote sustainable agricultural development.
