“Arab Agriculture Day provides an important occasion to reaffirm the pivotal role of agriculture in advancing food security and supporting economic and social development across the Arab region. Agriculture goes far beyond food production; it contributes to strengthening value chains, creating employment opportunities, stimulating economic activity, and promoting more sustainable development.
As food systems continue to undergo rapid transformation, it is increasingly important to direct investment towards promising agricultural and food sectors, while leveraging innovation, technology and scientific research to enhance productivity, improve resource-use efficiency, and strengthen the resilience of food systems in the face of future challenges.
Building a more sustainable food-secure future for the Arab region requires coordinated efforts among governments, financial and development institutions, the private sector and the scientific community, as well as effective partnerships capable of transforming agricultural and food-sector opportunities into economically viable investments and projects with lasting development impact.
On this occasion, the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development reaffirms its commitment to advancing agricultural investment, strengthening food value chains, and promoting innovation and partnerships. Through these efforts, AAAID seeks to contribute to the development of more efficient and sustainable food systems and to support the future of food security across the Arab region.”
