The Tunisian Ambassador in Khartoum Visits AAAID’s President

Within the framework of AAAID’s communication efforts with the significant organizations, bodies and institutions in the field, H.E Mr. Hachemi Agili, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia in Khartoum accompanied by Mr. Maher Zaghouan, Consul of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Khartoum visited H.E. Mohammed Bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President of AAAID. The meeting took place at AAAID’s headquarters in Khartoum on 24 November 2019.

H.E the President welcomed both the Ambassador and the Consul and explained AAAID’s programs, activities, vision, mission, objectives and investments that exist in the Arab countries and the sectors in which AAAID works and contributes to support and enhance food security. His Excellency further pointed out that Tunisia is one of the Arab countries that contributes to AAAID and that the Arab Authority has a number of projects, including Al Marga for Cattle and Agricultural Development Company, Agro- Zitex Company, Tunisia Aquaculture Fund, and Arabiska Fruits Company. Stating that the Arab Authority is looking forward to venturing into more projects that support food security, such as potato seed production, storage, packaging, grading and export of vegetables and fruits.

On their part, H.E the Ambassador and the Consul thanked the H.E the President of AAAID for the opportunity to meet him and the warm hospitality, praising the potential and status of the Arab Authority and its projects that contribute to bridging the food gap.
