A cooperation agreement between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development and the Emirates Development Bank

In order to enhance cooperation relations with regional and international organizations, companies and institutions, and to contribute to the development of agricultural resources in achieving food security. On Monday, April 1, 2024, at the regional headquarters of the Arab Authority, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development and the Emirates Development Bank. The agreement was signed on behalf of AAAID’s by H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi – Chairman of AAAID’s Board of Directors, and on behalf of the Emirates Bank, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Naqbi – Executive Director of the Emirates Development Bank.

The cooperation agreement aims to outline the main lines and general framework for cooperation between the two parties in implementing agricultural investment and development projects that can enhance food security in the United Arab Emirates. Both parties will exchange lists of available investment opportunities and projects, taking into account the standards and terms of contribution specific to each. They will also organize conferences, meetings, seminars, and workshops related to their specialties.

It is worth noting that the Emirates Development Bank aims to empower small and medium enterprises and startups through direct or indirect financing, digital solutions, and providing financial development solutions for key sectors, especially the food security sector.
