AAAID signs MoU with Arab Planning Institute

The Arab Authority is keen on enhancing cooperation with regional and international organizations, companies, and institutions to promote Arab food security and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals. On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, a memorandum of understanding was signed at the regional headquarters of AAAID between the Arab Authority for Agricultural Investment and Development and the Arab Planning Institute.

H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, signed on behalf of the Arab Authority, while Dr. Abdullah Fahad Al Shami, Director-General of the Arab Planning Institute, signed on behalf of the institute. The memorandum aims to strengthen continuous and effective cooperation between the two parties in areas of mutual interest, in accordance with their respective rules, regulations, and frameworks. These areas include capacity building, consultancy services, and research, which fall within the scope of work for both entities. It is worth mentioning that the Arab Planning Institute is an independent regional Arab institution based in Kuwait City, Kuwait. One of its main objectives is to enhance joint Arab development cooperation and support developmental efforts in Arab countries, as well as improve the skills of public and private sector employees, public benefit institutions, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises, and others.
