AAAID signs MoU with Mauritanian Ministry of Livestock

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Obaid Al Mazrooei, President and Chairman of AAAID, and His Excellency Lemrabott Ould Bennahi, Minister of Livestock, to set outlines for AAAID’s work program in the animal development field in Mauritania.

The signing took place on December 13, 2021, in Nouakchott – Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and was witnessed by a delegation from AAAID and the Ministry.

The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation relations between the two parties in investment and development fields with common strategic goals, to enable AAAID to establish pioneering projects in the animal production sector and other related activities in Mauritania.

A presentation was given by His Excellency Mr. Al Mazrooei on AAAID, and its objectives and projects in the member states. He explained that AAAID’s total investments in existing and under-establishment projects in Mauritania reached to 74.11 million US dollars, while about 2,303 job opportunities were provided.

For his part, His Excellency Mr. Bennahi praised the efforts made by AAAID within the framework of their existing cooperation; confirming the Animal Development Sector’s readiness to facilitate and guarantee the successful establishment of ambitious projects.

The minister added that the ministry aims to strengthen cooperation relations between AAAID and various private sectors, which will help develop AAAID’s projects.
